An Active Brake That Pushes Back
The Simagic P-Active Pedal is a servo-driven pedal rather than a spring and elastomer stack. So instead of a fixed feel you set once, the pedal changes what it does as you drive.
Because a motor controls the resistance, the same hardware can behave like a spring pedal, an elastomer pedal or a hydraulic one. Therefore switching car types means changing a profile, not changing parts.
Proprietary Stacked Belt-Drive Structure
Simagic stacks the drive components rather than laying them out flat. As a result, the unit takes less floor space than its performance would suggest.
Belt drive is proven technology in industrial robotics. In addition, it runs smoothly and quietly compared to a direct gear train.
Telemetry You Feel Through Your Foot
Live telemetry drives the feedback. So the pedal reacts to what the car is actually doing:
- ABS activation
- Traction control
- Wheel lock and wheel slip
- RPM and gear shifts
- Clutch bite point
These are things you normally read on a dash or guess at. Therefore putting them under your foot shortens the gap between the car losing grip and you reacting.
A Forward Stroke, Not an Ankle Rotation
Simagic raised the pivot point. So the pedal travels more forward and rotates your ankle less.
That matters because leg force now lines up with pedal motion. As a result, pressure control gets more precise and release under heavy braking gets smoother.
Pedal angle adjusts across a 0 to 30 degree range. Meanwhile the adjustment is quick enough to change between sessions.
250kg Sensors, 180kg Working Limit
Dual custom load cell sensors are rated to 250kg, with a 180kg software limit on pedal force. The sensors sit directly behind the pedal face.
Because they read your foot pressure at the point of contact, there is no linkage in between to soften the signal. Resolution is 16-bit.
Fast Full-Stroke Response
Full-stroke return takes as little as 100ms. Meanwhile the custom servo motor is rated at 600W with a maximum speed of 4,500 RPM.
So the pedal keeps up with fast inputs rather than lagging behind them.
Mechanical Aesthetics
The openwork frame leaves the precision internals visible. Therefore the engineering is part of how the pedal looks rather than something hidden behind a cover.
Brake, Throttle or Clutch
The same unit switches roles in software. So a P-Active bought as a brake can later become a throttle or clutch without new hardware.
Building Around the Simagic P-Active Pedal
This is the widest ecosystem fit Simagic offers on a pedal. It drops straight onto P1000, P2000 and Zeus platforms, so most users need no extra adapters.
Alternatively, the dedicated P-Active Baseplate supports P2000 pedal faces and third-party throttle and clutch pedals. Either way, you can start with an active brake and expand at your own pace.
What's in the Box
