What the Damper Actually Changes
The MOZA MRP Adjustable Damper is an optional add-on for the MOZA MRP Rudder Pedals. Those pedals ship with interchangeable springs, and springs set centering force. However, springs do not control how fast the pedal moves. Instead, that is the damper's job.
Turn the Knob, Change the Resistance
Moza puts the adjustment on a knob. Clockwise adds resistance, while counterclockwise takes it away. So you can set the pedals heavy for an airliner or light for a helicopter without swapping parts.
However, one caution comes from Moza's own support notes. Do not over-tighten the damper. Because too much damping stops the pedals returning fully, back it off if the rudder sticks.
Why Fit the MOZA MRP Adjustable Damper
Moza frames this as matching resistance to aircraft type. A helicopter and a heavy airliner do not want the same pedal weight. So instead of one compromise setting, you get a range you can dial through.
Also worth knowing what it is not. The MRP pedals are passive, and this damper is mechanical. Therefore it adds no motorized force feedback of any kind.
