Seems high quality but not that great in practice

"When I first opened this encoder it seemed SO much nicer than the cheap 10 pack of encoders I bought from amazon and I really liked how it is only 16 detent, the terminals are so much better than the cheap encoders as well. It all seemed great but once I got it all installed and put the Apex Sim Racing Billet Brake Bias Knob on it the experienced changed real quick and not in a good way. There was a LOT of wiggle in the rotary function. I can move it a lot before it clicks to the next detent which is pretty annoying to use in my opinion. It makes the nice billet knob feel cheap and not fun to use. I contacted Apex about it because I wasnt sure if there was a way to adjust these encoders but I never heard back from Apex. So I swapped it out for one of the cheap Amazon encoders and the cheap encoder is a much better feel. Just a higher detent which I dont like as much but it doesnt wiggle like the CTS 288 does."
