QC issues at first, but Apex made it right

"I have shopped with Apex for various simrig needs for a while now, but this was my first product of theirs that I purchased. I had some serious issues removing the screws from the housing to insert my Stream Deck, they were extremely tight and of the 6, I successfully removed 2, 3 stripped out badly, and the last one the head snapped clean off. I eventually managed to get all of the screws out by soldering my allen key to the screws. Several screws were damaged and there was minor damage to the plastic housing. I sent customer support an email regarding my issues, and had a new housing and screws in the mail within 3 days. While the quality control issue was annoying, I prefer to buy from a company that I know will make it right if I do have an issue, which is why I'm giving them 5 stars for the excellent and speedy customer support."

I should have bought this the first time.

"I have owned a stream deck mounted to my rig for years now. I printed an enclosure for it, mounted it on my aluminum extrusion rig and have made do with it. It worked but it was a little loose, not as accessible as I’d like, and frankly looked a little amateur. This year I purchased the Apex Sim Racing Race Deck. Which I should have done from the beginning. The stream deck 2 fits perfectly, the enclosure has pass-through USB, the carbon fiber looks incredible and is milled to perfection to fit the stream deck. The rotary controllers and momentary buttons are rock solid, have a good tactile feel, and just work. I can now select buttons on the stream deck during a race with a high degree of confidence. That’s important, rolling into the pits and being there for an extra 12 seconds because a tire change was still on is devastating. If I could make 1 suggestion for improvement, it would be to add direct support for ram mounts."

Unheard of Amazing Customer Service

"Ok. I got the Stream Deck button box and I was not happy with it, Thats me in that 1 star review, which Daniel responded to promptly. After I finished my tantrum on my review, I reached out to Apex Sim Racing outlining my issues. Apex Sim Racing was quick to respond and although I asked for a replacement part, Jimmy even offered to exchange it even thought it was damaged during assembly. That was only yesterday. And the new one arrived today. Less than 24hrs. Seriously. And they even sent it without the front assembly installed; making it an easy installation for my Stream Deck (a complaint that I had). I haven’t even used the new one yet and thought it was important to shout them out first. I really appreciate everything they did. Many thanks to these awesome people. Got extra bears too."

"Its an ok little button box, i like it. i wouldn’t recommend buying this box Considering the price. Yes it works and no there are no defects. There’s a ton of reasons why building your own is better but my main points would be. 1. how much cheaper it is to make your own. 2. full customization 3. its a lot easier than you think and you’ll likely produce a box of the same quality as this $148 box. I know nothing about coding, electronics etc and i built one recently with many more buttons & features than the apex box and for about 100 cheaper. If the price were to come down on these id def recommend them because they do as advertised but they are way too expensive for what you get. A few buttons, not even the good ones, the rotarys feel dull as well. This is like a $40 item in reality."

It's grate only thing is

"It's grate only thing is one of the bolts on the back for the mount was and is loose so I fixed it but that's about it . . every thing else was grate"

Built well, however the six

"Built well, however the six screws on the front were difficult to remove. Had to drill out 2 because the screw head stripped out."

Great product albeit pricey for the quality.

"It's a great integration of a stream deck and additional buttons for sim racing. The 3d print quality of the middle plastic layer was alright as in functional but not super pretty albeit this is in the interior where most people won't look or see. My only complaint is the 7 way funky switch works on but only on slow inputs and nothing quick. Not sure if the switch I have is bad or just the quality of it is meh."

"Incredible quality, and easy to install. Fits the Streamdeck mk.2 perfectly! Rotarys and buttons seem durable and give a very good tactile feedback when pressed."
