Are Simnet Pedals Console-Compatible?
Introduction
One of our most asked questions has to be, "Are Simnet SP Pro Pedals compatible with my wheelbase/console?" To make things simple, we’ve put together this comprehensive compatibility guide to give you clear answers and help you find the right setup.
Since pedals are the foundation of every sim racing setup, it’s important to know what works with what before you buy. This guide will walk you through Simnet SP Pro Pedal and Haptic Kit compatibility across the most common wheelbases and consoles.
Simnet Pedal Connection
Connection type: USB (the pedals are recognized as standalone devices when paired with your PC).
Software Support: Works with Windows-based Sim Racing titles that allow pedal calibration like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, and rFactor 2.
Console: Only compatible with Xbox and Playstation when plugged into a compatible wheelbase that supports external/third-party pedals.
Wheelbase Compatibility
When paired with a PC, Simnet SP Pro Pedals are compatible with all wheelbases since they will be detected as a direct USB input. Some examples include:
MOZA Racing: R3, R5, R9, R16, R21.
Simagic: Alpha Mini, Alpha, Alpha Ultimate, Alpha EVO series.
Simucube: Sport, Pro, Ultimate, and SC2 series.
Fanatec: CSL DD, GT DD Pro, DD1, DD2 (pedals must be plugged into PC via USB, not RJ12 port).
Thrustmaster: T818, TS-PC, TX, T300, T248 (USB only on PC, not RJ12).
Logitech: G Pro Wheel, G923, G29, G920 (again, via USB direct to PC).
Console Compatibility
Because consoles rely on the wheelbase to handle pedal input, there are a few limitations.
Playstation (PS4 or PS5): Supported if connected through a Fanatec wheelbase (CSL DD/GT DD Pro). Additionally, Simnet pedals are not directly supported by a USB on console, so they absolutely need to be connected to a Fanatec wheelbase via RJ12 cable.
Xbox (Series X|S or Xbox One): Supported only if connected through a Fanatec wheelbase (CSL DD/GT DD Pro Xbox edition). The Simnet pedals are not supported by a USB for Xbox either, so they will need to be directly connected to the wheelbase via RJ12 cable.
Haptic Motors
Connection: USB
Software Integration: Works with telemetry-based software to deliver vibration effects for braking, traction loss, or surface changes.
Simnet Haptic Motors connect via USB and sync with telemetry software to deliver vibration feedback. They are primarily designed for PC use since consoles do not support direct third-party USB haptic devices. However, there is a workaround that allows you to calibrate the haptics while running a console if your PC is also powered on. Final Thoughts
The Simnet SP Pro Pedals are designed for maximum flexibility, with full PC compatibility and console support when paired with the right wheelbase. If you use a PC for sim racing, you can implement them via USB and you’re good to go. Console users, on the other hand, will need to check their wheelbase, but as long as you’re running a supported Fanatec or Logitech base, you’ll be set.
For racers looking to add immersion, the Simnet Haptic Kit is a great upgrade that takes pedal feel to a higher level with vibration feedback tied directly to in-game telemetry.
