The Apex Sim Racing Race Deck XL Button Box is the ultimate sim racing control hub, combining precision hardware with the flexibility of the Elgato Stream Deck XL (sold separately). Built for competitive racers, it delivers fast, reliable inputs and endless customization options.

Crafted with genuine 2mm matte twill carbon fiber front and rear plates, the Race Deck XL features a hand-finished 3D printed enclosure, four CTS rotary encoders, and ten 12mm aluminum push buttons. Each input can be mapped to in-game controls including headlights, wipers, pit limiter, ignition, brake bias, ABS, and black boxes. An optional 7-way multi-switch adds even more functionality.

The integrated Stream Deck provides limitless pages of programmable buttons, allowing racers to set up unique profiles for every car, launch apps, adjust system settings, or streamline their streaming workflow. With only one USB connection required, installation is simple and clean.

Didn't fit my StreamDeck out of the box.

"I purchased my StreamDeck XL in 2023 and it did not fit the APEX Sim XL Button Box (Purchased 10/2025) without significant Dremel work, and even after shaving a ton out, it's just not right. I had to clear out a significant portion of the interior webbing around the StreamDeck housing of this button box just to get the thing to fit under the rear cover, and even after "making" it fit, it just never fit well. I had to use additional stick on foam spacers on the sides and the back to get the buttons to line up and sit inside of the cutouts of the button box, but even after that with normal use the StreamDeck would shift around and be hard to read/use after a short amount of use. The product itself is great, worked great as a passthrough for the StreamDeck and the integrated buttons worked without issue with Windows, but it was just the fitment with my StreamDeck XL that is my biggest complaint. I'm really just disappointed that at the price point of $240USD even after literal Dremel fitment adjustments it just doesn't fit or work well compared to the price."

Great product

"A Streamdeck is great as a button box for sim racing but it doesn't look very "racy", is difficult to attach and I was missing rotary dials. The race deck is the perfect addition. The combo looks like a high tech button box, is easy to attach and gives me the missing rotary dials and several addional push buttons. I ordered the race deck with a custom color scheme for the push buttons but still delivery was very fast, in less then a week it arrived in the Netherlands. Overall a great product and great service."

A must for streamer racers

"Not enough can be said about the quality of this product. I saw a review of one of the earlier additions of this product back when there is exposed wiring on the inside now Jimmy has condensed everything into a printed circuit board and very secure connections for the USB cables. Extremely good quality. Don’t be scared by the hollow sound when you mount it without the stream deck inside of it that goes away once It is inside. If I could critique one thing the only thing I can think of is I had a seven Way controller added taking the place of one of the middle buttons and I wish the knob for it was made out of aluminum. I would totally endorse this product"

"Received my Racedeck Buttonbox, earlier than expected so was straight away happy with that. Mounted my Streamdeck XL in and got it all up and running. This box is fantastic quality and would totally recommend it to anyone using the Streamdeck on their racing sim. It looks the part, its awesome quality, the buttons and rotary encoders are nice and direct with tactical with a great feeling, and the buttons are nice and smooth to press too. Great job on this product Apex keep up the amazing work. If only other manufacturers would follow this kind of quality Racers wouldnt have half the problems. I dont work or neither am i endorsed by Apex. im just super happy with their products :)"

"Just a great overall product. My first and last button box. Fit and finish is fantastic. The new circuit board completely eliminates wiring within the box. Just plug in your USB cables and go.
