The Moza R16 Ultra: A New Motor, Not Just More Torque
The Moza R16 Ultra is built around an all-new zero-cogging flat-wire motor. That matters more than the headline torque figure, because cogging is what makes a direct drive base feel notchy at low speed and blunt at the limit. Remove it and everything the car is doing comes through cleaner.
16Nm of constant torque, a 21-bit magnetic encoder, a 600MHz processor and Moza's NexGen Force Feedback Algorithm U1. This is a base for drivers who already know what they want from force feedback and want the hardware to stop getting in the way.
All-New Zero-Cogging Flat-Wire Motor
Flat-wire winding packs more copper into the same space, which means more torque density and better heat dissipation from the same size motor. Combined with a zero-cogging design, the result is force feedback that stays smooth through the smallest inputs rather than stepping between them.
16Nm of Constant Torque
Constant, not peak. That distinction matters. A base quoting peak torque can only hold it briefly before backing off, whereas constant torque is what you actually feel lap after lap, including through long corners where the load never lets up.
21-Bit Magnetic Encoder and 600MHz Processor
Over two million resolution points, read and processed fast enough to keep up. Kerb strikes, surface changes and the moment the front tyres begin to slide arrive as distinct sensations rather than a general rumble.
NexGen Force Feedback Algorithm U1
Moza's most advanced force feedback algorithm, developed specifically for the Ultra series. Sharper detail retrieval, faster response and considerably more range in how you tune the feel.
Native iRacing Support at 360Hz
The R16 Ultra runs native 360Hz iRacing support with Wheel LFE. Force feedback data arrives at the base far more frequently than the standard rate, so what you feel matches what the physics engine is calculating rather than a smoothed approximation of it.
Force Feedback Interpolation and Game FFB Decoupling
Interpolation fills the gaps between force feedback samples, smoothing the signal without dulling the detail. FFB decoupling lets you separate the effects the game sends from the effects you want to feel, so you can tune road texture, weight and slip independently rather than turning one master slider and hoping.
Intelligent Thermal Management
Active thermal management with real-time monitoring keeps torque output consistent across a full stint. No fade at hour two, no unexpected drop in feel just as the race is decided.
Built to Last
CNC-machined aluminium housing for rigidity and heat dissipation, with the durability to handle years of use rather than seasons. Two RGB light strips are fully customisable through Moza Pit House if you want the base to match the rest of your rig.
Versatile Mounting
Front, side and bottom mounting are all supported, so the R16 Ultra fits a purpose-built cockpit or a profile rig without compromise. An adjustable bracket is available separately if you need a specific angle.
Native Ecosystem Integration
Dedicated ports for pedals, dashboard, shifter, handbrake and an E-stop switch, all connecting directly to the base rather than eating USB ports on your PC. Add to the setup over time and everything runs through one connection and one piece of software.
Hands-Off Protection
Built-in hands-off protection reduces torque when the wheel is released, so a spin doesn't end with the wheel snapping back at full force.
