A New Motor, Not Just More Torque
The Moza R16 Ultra Wheelbase is built around an all-new zero-cogging flat-wire motor. Cogging is what makes a direct drive base feel notchy at low speed. Because this motor removes it, small inputs come through cleanly rather than stepping between positions.
Moza claims 12% higher torque density than similarly sized competitors. So the same physical size does more work.
16Nm of Constant Torque
Constant, not peak. That distinction matters. A base quoting peak torque holds it briefly before backing off. Constant torque is what you feel lap after lap, including through long loaded corners.
21-Bit Encoder and 600MHz Processor
The encoder reads 2,097,152 points per revolution. Meanwhile the 600MHz processor keeps up with it. As a result, curb strikes, surface changes and the first hint of front slide arrive as separate sensations.
NexGen Force Feedback Algorithm U1
U1 is Moza's algorithm for the Ultra series. It brings sharper detail retrieval and more tuning range. In addition, Pit House exposes spring, damping, friction and force interpolation independently.
Native iRacing Support at 360Hz
The R16 Ultra runs native 360Hz iRacing support with Wheel LFE. Therefore force feedback data reaches the base far more often than the standard rate. What you feel tracks the physics engine rather than a smoothed version of it.
Thermal Management and Protection
An intelligent cooling system monitors temperature in real time. So torque output stays consistent across a long stint. Hands-off protection also cuts torque when you let go, which softens the snap-back after a spin.
Mounting the Moza R16 Ultra Wheelbase
Three options are supported:
- Bottom mounting
- Front mounting
- Side mounting
An adjustable bracket is available separately if you need a specific angle. In addition, the compact housing suits aluminum profile rigs.
One Base, One Cable
Dedicated ports handle pedals, dashboard, shifter, handbrake and an emergency stop switch. Therefore accessories connect to the base rather than to PC USB ports. Two RGB light strips run 16.7 million colors with telemetry effects for ABS, traction control, shifts and flags.
