Introduction

Following MOZA's latest product announcement, we have gotten quite a few inquiries about when the KS Pro Steering Wheel is hitting our shelves. Well, sorry to disappoint, but we don't have a set date yet. However, we do have the latest details and features that we are excited to discuss!

In this blog post, I will delve into the wheel's key features and why it’s shaping up to be an exciting addition for sim racing enthusiasts as we kick off the new year.

Appearance

The KS Pro Steering wheel may be one of the best-looking steering wheels a sim racing manufacturer has released in a while. With a sleek, forged carbon fiber finish, multiple LED buttons, and a customizable HD display, the wheel appears premium for a surprisingly reasonable price of $329 USD.

I've seen recent discussions on Reddit that highlight how impressive this wheel looks and feels for its price. Nowadays, it's pretty uncommon to find such a broad, positive consensus, so kudos to MOZA for creating a wheel that appeals to the masses.

New Features

While we haven’t had the chance to test this steering wheel ourselves, we do know the specifications that make it a standout choice, starting with the KS Pro's new 2.99-inch HD screen. This high-resolution display allows sim racers to see telemetry, lap times, gear indicators, and other crucial data at a glance, reducing distraction and helping make faster, more precise decisions on track.

Additionally, there is a noticeable jump in the number of controls. The original KS Wheel came with a total of 12 button-like inputs, including 10 LED buttons and 2 depressible joysticks, while the KS Pro GT comes with a total of 14, being the 10 backlit buttons, 2 rear buttons, 5 rotary encoders, 2 thumb encoders, and 2 7-way funky switches.

The KS Pro is also overall higher in quality because of the paddle differences. Its shifter and dual-clutch paddles are made from forged carbon with Hall sensors, making them stronger, lighter, and more precise than the aluminum paddles on the original KS Wheel. This provides more responsive and accurate inputs, which are crucial for competitive GT sim racing.

Value

The wheel delivers an impressive visual upgrade, particularly when factoring in its price. Compared to MOZA’s previous GT model, the roughly-$100 difference feels well justified, especially with the addition of the HD display and expanded mapping controls. It's the type of value you can't beat in the sim racing market.

The KS Pro will also offer excellent long-term value. The build quality definitely suggests this wheel is designed to last through years of heavy use. For many sim racers, durability is just as important as performance, especially when competing in high-intensity GT sim racing.

For GT Racing Enthusiasts of All Skill Levels

Overall, I’m pretty confident that the KS Pro is designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of sim racers, from GT and Formula beginners to seasoned enthusiasts alike. The combination of the premium materials, expanded controls, and the high-resolution display makes it versatile enough to handle casual racing sessions and competitive GT events.

Even without hands-on testing, the spec sheet alone suggests that MOZA has focused on enhancing usability and precision while keeping the price accessible. For anyone looking to upgrade from a mid-tier wheel or enter the world of advanced sim racing, the KS Pro is shaping up to be a very compelling option!
